Our 632nd Dad in the Limelight is Nick Edwards of The Dadcade. I want to thank Nick Edwards for being a part of this series. It has been great getting connected with him and now sharing Nick Edwards with all of you.
1)Tell me about yourself, (as well as how you are in the limelight for my readers knowledge)
My name is Nick Edwards and in my part time I run a video game website that’s focused on a parents perspective. To pay the bills though, I work in the automotive industry designing and testing programs that run the assembly line. Basically if you have driven a car in the past few years and nothing major fell of it, that was me.

2)Tell me about your family.
I’m the father to two very awesome girls with big personalities. Arya is 3 and Nora is 18 months. My wife is currently in the home stretch working on her masters in therapy.
3) What has been the largest challenge you have had in being a father? Work/career choices are probably the most difficult challenges thus far.
Probably the largest challenge I have faced or am facing is my own insecurities. Usually I nitpick over everything I do and say around the kids and how it affects them. I try and just be present for them.
4) What advice would you give to other fathers?
The advice I would give to other fathers is to just be there. Tell your kids you love them and spend time with them. Don’t be afraid to be silly with them in public.
5) How have you come to balance parenthood and outside life?
I’m still working on that. I can update this if i ever figure it out.
6) What have you learned from the fathers that you have interacted with?
What I learned from other fathers is either the exact advice I mentioned in answer 4 or I learned what type of father I don’t want to be.
7) What else would you share regarding your experiences as a father thus far?
It’s not always a sitcom and it’s going to feel like work at some points, but the payout is well worth it when your kid snuggles up next to you.
8) What have been the most memorable experiences that you have had thus far as a parent?
My kids are still pretty young so aside from the major milestones like walking and talking, I would say the most memorable moments come when I see the kids blossom and take on new things that might be scary or difficult for them and overcome those challenges.
